2 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | Software install - which drive?
I have just got a new pc and i want to get the best and do it right from the start...
I have a system drive (36 gig raptor) and 2 other big drives (360 gig and 400 gig). All are SATA and all bench mark around 55 mbyte/sec with the raptor having a seek time of 9ms and the others 12 to 15ms, all very quick.
I know it's best to have a seperate system drive, the raptor.
My question is is it best to install apps there too or would they be better installed on a different drive ? ? ?
I am a bit of a non teccy and I hope this isnt a stupid question.

This is what I would do, but it may not fit with the way you work.
Install all the apps to the system drive, and use one of the other drives for a video drive and all project assets, the 3rd drive can become an export drive and also somewhere to keep assets until you copy them to the video drive for use.
