Just got delivery a quad core beast myself and been installing Adbe CS4 suite on it. Havng afew teethign troubles wiht both Vista and CS4 but mostly RTFM stuff with CS4 so far thank God. i.e. once I work out how I should really do things then all's ok.
The one thing I haven;t got so far though is any render times. I've simply not fired up the media encoder. Also, in truth I;m not sure how much Premiere CS3 actually makes use of multi cores in rendering. I know AE CS3 does but never used CS3 myself.
My understanding of the an Rt.X2 is that it will export in real time. That's what it's for and why it costs such a lot of money. No timeline renders either. That's if it's anythignlike the Rt.X100 I had in my old machine.
Also, how are you rendering? i.e. to what format with what settings? You don;t say.
