    I suspect they simply don't understand how long it takes to create a 30 sec video from 10-30mins of material. Either that or they're trying it on. Is there any possibility of sitting down with one o fthem and doing a very rough edit (ie just selecting the bits to include) - with them selecting so they get an idea?

    Absolutely it is! Unfortunately I don't have 11 loaded so I can't post a veg but here is how I would do it (and have just tested in VP17 although everything I do is available in 11) Put your two video events on tracks 2 and 4, overlapped for where you want the transition to take place. The event in track 2 should be the incoming video event. Tint them to your choice using whatever colour FX you want (I presume you're not asking how to do that - I just used the HSL Adjust for my demo. ...

    Do you mean you want your five paraise song clips in one praise song video or in five separate ones? If the latter then this is easy in just about any NLE seftware (eg HitFilm Express) Assuming your whole service is on the timeline, create a time selection containing just the section you want for praise song 1 and "render" that.     Very good. I wouldn't sweat the image quality - it's fine and the variety of angles and good lighting is far more important. I'd have liked one or two shots from a lower angle, but I guess you were limited. Soundwise I thought this was fantastic - the guitarist has an amasingly delicate touch for "just strumming" and your recording brought out the dymanics. Mix overall was very good.     I feel exhausted after watching that! Lots of great shots. Vibrant colours. Can't take much in but I guess that's the idea - it's just intended to give an impression of the places. But a couple of places to breathe might not go amiss. On the other hand it's all failry anonymous. These places could be anywhere, we're not informed. I hope you can remember 20 years down the track. I've freqently said pretty pictures to music shouldn't last more than 90 secs and you chop it off at exactly that (the stats bit afterwards is for interested parties only - and that's fine.     Marc asks if camcorders have a place in 2021. I say absolutely they do, though it may be rather more niche than it used to. Phones capture superb images - especially if you want just a massive depth of field (and camcorders typcally do not have a shollow depth of field anyway - if you want that go mirrorless/DSLR). They are suitable for loads of stuff. But .... ergonomically I find them horrible. I have mine in a case with a folding lid and this makes it very difficult to hold (but makes...

    I don't know Filmora but that spec sounds seriously underpowered. The SSD at 128 is big enough for operating system and software. Yes there's room for some footage but very little. It's not possible to say how much space 1080Pfootage takes without knowing the codec you uses. Typically lower end cameras shoot with very highly compressed footage, which means much more footage per GB. Unfortunately this has to be decompressed by the computer so it requires far more power.     Tim,
    In Vegas MS Platinum 8, have you or anyone else experienced this most annoying quirk? On one of our Platinum 8 machines, when I click "Edit Generated Media", the interface opens then seems to vanish instantly at the bottom of the "dock", never to be found. I was demonstrating this for a class of 20 students this morning and could not edit any text beyond the default words "Sample Text". What is causing this interface to disappear? I suppose I could re-load the software, but was hoping not to have to do that.

Does it really matter what other people think of your work? I'd imagine all of us want our films to be liked, but it is highly unlikely that everyone watching will form the same, or even similar opinions. Even when a whole bunch of people express a very strong opinion, it's just as likely that there will be others expressing the opposite.
