Thread: another newbie

hello people ..
im just a newbie here, i dont know if im posting these in the right section of the forums..,(sorry if i just did)...
btw..
i would like to ask if what is/are the softwares you guys use in editing/creating videos
i mean, not like windows movie maker.. something like. final fantasy trailer..
(not really that hd, at least..something a little advanced.)

Take a look at Sony Vegas and adobe premier, play with the trial....and see what you think.

how hard does it usually take to make
something like this
..not really something like that.i know im just a beginner, just curious..
btw. could sony vegas make something like that video alone?

No.
Sony Vegas (like Premiere, Final Cut etc etc indeed most of the stuff we talk about here) is a Non Linear Editor. It takes footage, stills, music etc and puts them all together. Whilst one can animate ceratin aspects (eg titles, pictures within pictures) it is NOT animation software, which is what you appear to be looking for.

There are plenty of free animation packages available (just Google) so you can cut your teeth.
