Yes thats true in Leeds luckily I'm in a more civilised area
I am one of those that is (currently) content in lurking in the background, you shouldn't forget the number of people who read and don't post, they still appreciate what you have built here.
Often I have found answers without even having to ask the question.
Hello Doug and welcome. You have though immediately identified yourself as being a little bit different as you have just posted and said hello. I don't have any problem with the lurkers, we all do a bit of that. I don't actually have any problem with 01 posters if they acknowledge the help you give them. A simple thanks makes it all worthwhile.
Anyway, I am just having a shit day and normally I don't groan out loud. Ignore me it will pass![]()
And that's the beauty of sharing a problem and, more importanly, the answer. Some of us love to learn by doing or, sometimes more accurately, by trial and error. But the vast majority of people don't see problem solving as a challenge or a journey... they just see a barrier to getting something done.

Your post has prompted me to count my blessings.
Although Kuwait has numerous things to complain about (heat, dust, bad drivers, pre-dawn mosque prayer calls, etc.), the one thing I can't complain about is the rubbish service. EVERY MORNING the trash is collected from the bins next to the house. And it does not matter what you toss into the bins (food, paper, bottles, cans, leaves, dead cats) they pick it up. I don't have to sort-out jack. And the service is free.
Am I saying there is no recycling? No. Several times a day some other men (equally impoverished as the garbage collectors) ruffle through my trash bin to extract aluminum cans and anything else of value they can sell for a few Fils (There are 1000 Fils to 1 Kuwati Dinar). Got something big you want to get rid of here...just leave it on the curb. It will be gone within 10 minutes.
Also, folks here just throw their trash into whatever bin has room, even if it belongs to your neighbor. Try doing that in Germany and you'll be arrested.
Yep, I can complain about a lot of things in Kuwait, but the garbage collection is not one of them.

Well you can add me to the lurker group...I'm here daily looking around and mostly trying to absorb some knowledge and a better understanding of the intricacies...so that I can grow my hobby...I appreciate all the information found here...and the intelligence behind a lot of the feedback I read. It's a good forum.
By the way " Hello "
In a vague attempt to keep this thread on topic I've started another:
