Default Firewire/IEEE1394

I am going to have to purchase a Firewire PCI card and cable to enable me to transfer data from my camcorder to PC (see Background Noise under Software question and Mark's response). I shall be installing it myself so please can I have advice on what people recommend I should buy (type and items) or look out for. My Dell manual is pretty complete when it comes to installing a PCI card and I am confident I can manage it OK but again any hints will be appreciated. Unfotunately I do not have any specialist shops in my area other than PC World.

Hope you get this at this late stage.
I too installed the Firewire and it worked perfectly. However, I could no longer connect to BT Broadband. Tried everything I could think of...restore points, disable 1934 etc and finally had to remove the PCI and create a restore point again in order to connect to BT Broadband.
Did you have any such trouble?
Can anyone tell me what was wrong?
The 1394 I used was 3 port Firewire PCI from Sweex who replied to my request for help in Dutch! That was when I decided to remove the PCI.
Help anyone?
Thanks
Carol
