Default Problems capturing with premier all of a sudden

about 2 weeks ago I all of a sudden started having a problem capturing video off of my Sony camcorders, both VX-2100 and HC-1000.

When capturing it will say device un available and play the video off the camera very slow, while the camera rolls at full speed. Settings are correct, running at 29.97 fps

I tried downloading premier pro and it worked for 1 day, then all of a sudden it started having a different capture issue and wont capture anything.

real confused.

anyone ever encounter this?

nope doing it in NTSC going to assume its a hardware issue? Should i try reinstalling premier? or is it most likely my capture card? I have 3 firewire ports on the card and a HD working fine connected to a different port. Dont know if that makes a difference

Think back to what you did two weeks ago. Did you uninstall a lot of software, change settings, install new hardware etc? Something that you did has affected the way your system worked apparently very well and now it doesn't.

traced the problem after dedicating a full day to it. Had some currupt file(s) in the premier cache folder somewhere. By holding the "SHIFT" key until the program starts up will clear the cache folder and put you back to normal. Hope this saves someone else time down the road. Its a quick fix to an annoying problem.
