Default Sony and firewire

Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and have a query. I have a sony DVD653E camcorder that came with a USB PC connector. I assume I can use a firewire connector but where does it plug in? Do I use the USB port 'cause I can't see any other ports? Any help appreciated,
Thanks,
brieth

It's a DVD camcorder so if you'll transfer to PC, USB 2.0 is the only option. Of course ripping those DVD's might be an idea too.

Default Firewire & Sony Camcorder

Thanks for that, USB it is. I have a couple of editing programs, power director 3 & Roxio's Easy media creator 8, any view on which is better for someone new to editing? i hate programs that require a degree in rocket science to use them, so if you know a better choice that isn't too hard to learn initially, I'd be interested. Thanks again,
Brieth

Between those two... Roxio has more features and it's also a breeze to work with.
