Default Matrox video cards.

Does it make a difference which model of matrox graphic card you get to get a clear output of premier pro?

Well my titles are "jerky". And I was just thinking it might be worth having the real time stuff.

I believe Luke means a Matrox RT.X100 real time effects card, rather than a graphics card.

OK, well if you mean what I think you mean then having a realtime card like the RT.X100 will not affect your titles at all - Unless you apply some Matrox realtime effects to them of course. Quality will not change one bit.

If you need better titles then you'll have to look outside Premiere ro look at some plugin like those over at Borisfx.com

Give us a quick example of these 'jerky' titles and explain how you want them better. Maybe I can help.

Think on this VERY SERIOUSLY. Make obsolutely sure you have compatible hardware if you are going to attempt to install a Matrox RT.X100. Also, consider carefully what it is you want to achieve from it.

The RT.X100 is a great piece of kit but is starting to show it's age. i.e. it is purely SD only. If you are currently (or soon to be thinking about) editing HDV then the Matrox card will not help you in the slightest.

If you're at all considering HDV then spend less money of Cineform Aspect HD and get realtime editing for HDV from a s/w only plugin.

So Luke, let me know what you hope to gain by the purchase and I may be able to advise you further.
