Default sound lag when recording video from minicam

I got a sony HC21 400 dollar one, good quality etc, what ive noticed is at times using the cam's software it records andf at times the sound is off sync and gets very annoying, plus the software allows 10 mins at a itme of recording, any way to increase the recording time??-

I assume you mean capture and not recording to the cam.

Are you transferring by firewire or USB? What file format are you using?
NTFS or FAT32? What is your OS? What software are you using to transfer?

f)

always, always use firewire for capturing video. Firewire/i-link/IEEE1394 has a higher sustained data transfer rate than USB2. If you haven't got firewire on your PC, you need to buy a firewire card.

How did you produce the rest of your videos, if you're trying to capture through USB ??
