Hi everyone,

I need some help with setting up a suitable rig for a pilot TV thing I am doing.

I have a newish laptop computer with two USB ports but I can't find any fire-wire. I also have an analogue High 8 camera. So how do I get the two to speak on a budget?

I was thinking of buying ULEADS DV 2000 program for the editing side of things, but my main concern is being able to capture the video ono my laptop.

I have heard of a convertor box? Any one know the specific name of what I need and approx price?

As always being a non professional I am on a budget.

Any USB video capture unit should do. Any hald decent computer shop will have them
