I was wondering what would be a good way to get VHS tapes onto the computer through A/V cables. I'm setting up a video editing computer for my uncle on a budget. I was going to put a refurbished Radeon 9600 All In Wonder but that doesn't have A/V inputs just Coax and S video. My uncle says the quality from COAX is to low, is this true?
Should I just get a A/V to Coax converter or not get the AIW and get a Tv tuner card or get a A/V to usb2 converter?
This is a really tight budget for a video editing comp so I only have under $90 to spend. So far the comp is
XP2900+
Asus Mobo
1gig pc3200
250gig 8mb samsung
NEC dvd-rw
Intergrated sound
Also what would I need to get sound in and out in stereo? I would need a real sound card instead of intergrated wouldn't I?

... you try one of Canopus' capture cards. I have the ADVC-1394 that does wonders with video and captures stereo audio very well. Might cost a little more that you are willing to spend, however ... Good luck!

Then look for a graphics card with VIVO (video-in, video-out).
