Default Which Graphic card is the best for DV??

Hi,
I'm running a 2.4 ghz amd, 512 ram and 80 ghz harddrive. OS, XP and I'm using Premierre 6 at the moment with Pinnacle DV500.

I've just installed a new mobo. The Asus A7N8X-E deluxe but I need a new
'Graphics Card', the old one simple doesn't fit in the new AGP slot. I would obviously like something that is dedicated to digital editing since that will be my main aim. Someone mentioned the 'Ati Radeon 9800'. Is any one using one of these?? I understood it was essentially a gaming card.
If you have any ideas at all about what I should look out for here then do let me know. I'm looking to spend around a 100 pounds for a second hand one.

Thanks for your help.

they are ALL the same. Anything over 20 bucks will perform as good as anything else.

all video cards do is pump the image to your monitor. They will not speed rendering or anything up. That work is done by CPU, memory and hard drive.

There are pci cards that will accelerate mpeg2 encoding, but again your video card has nothing to do with that.

The only thing fancy cards are good for is games and CAD. if you don't play games, buy a 50 quid card and spend the other 50 quid on a bigger hard drive. you won't regret it.
