Default Will this work?

Hey!

Video editing virgin here requires assistance!

Hi all. Pretty clueless about all this so I hope somebody could assist me. Right then, here it goes... I have a Panasonic NV-GS1 and would like to transfer films onto the PC. I recently purchased a AVer EZCapture Card. I've got an S-Video to S-Video lead, and jack plug for sound. In theory (from what the instructions say! ) this should work...

Am I heading the right way?

Appeciate any information. Thanks in-advance!

Why shouldn't it work?
It says so on the box, right?

It does say that, but on the capture card. I've been trying to get this working but unsuccessful... :( All connected correctly, Premiere just says DV device not connected.... any ideas?

Thanks!

That's probably because it's not a DV capture device, so Premiere won't recognise it as such. Eiether use the capture software that came with the hardware, or try IUVCR.

But forget s-video connections. Simply connect the cam via firewire to your PC.
