Win TV PVR

I am trying to do some video editing with Edit Studio which I find ok at the moment. I am using Win TV as my capture device but I would like to try the win tv PVR usb. Is it difficult to use and install I am sure I read somewhere on the net that there were a lot of problems with it. I would be very grateful for any help you can give me. I am running Windows XP Home with 256 mb Ram
