Default VHS-C to DVD (or Mpeg files) ?

You always used to see adverts for converting cine-film to VHS.

I've found a couple of VHS-C camcorder tapes in the loft,
bought when I used to hire a camcorder from local rental shop.

Has anyone seen anywhere offering conversion to digital clips ?

Alternative would be to try and pick up an old VHS-C camcorder on Ebay,
but as I don't have my DV cam record enabled I'm not sure how I'd get it on to the PC.
(I don't want to get an analogue capture card)

Being the economist for a mo, I guess it depends on how many tapes you're thinking of converting. You're looking at around £18 for each hour of footage (plus £7.50 for any number of DV tapes). Even if you had ten tapes, it'd work out cheaper than buying the necesary equipment! Can't comment on the quality of their service, but if you only have a few hours of footage knocking around, it's probably the best option (esp as you don't want to do the analogue to digital conversuon yourself

As you say, there's loads of services out there...

VHSC to DVD I used these guys at 10.00 per tape [URL removed]. It costs 25.00 alone for the VHS adaptor so its best sending these to a vhs service company.

Find one like these guys who do colour enhancement. This is essential I think as they take out all the blueish colours and do some anti-noise thing. good luck

I hate to sound like a doubting Thomas, but you dug up a four your old thread to pimp a two week old site. You also registered today, and your registration address was for a cine to dvd website.

I have gone put of my way to provide a place for people to pimp their wears. If you want to be part of our community, I suggest you are open and honest inthe future. I have not banned you on this occassion, but would normally delete an account for such abuse.
