Default Hard drive setup / motherboard problems

I have an AT7 MAX 2 motherboard with two seagate ATA100 hard disks 80gig and 200gig attatched to the IDE 1 controller (200gig slave). My problem is that when i attach a third hard disk to the SATA controller or ATA133 controller video capture and playback is disturbed quite dramatically.

Has anyone had similar problems with this motherboard?

My system: Athlon xp 2600 (Barton), 512 RAM, 9600 PRO, Sony trv25e.
