Sony Vegas 9 Not rendering my video!help.

I made a minute and 20 second trailer in sony vegas and im rendering in AVI format and i do everything i usually do, but when i click render, the percent stays at 0 and the time keeps increasing, is there something i am doing wrong or should i just let it render for a really long time?
