Thread: Betacam SP tape

My wife handed me a Betacam SP tape where a friend helped her put a bunch of video clips on to about 10 years ago.

She wants me to digitize it so she can post them online.

I am not overly concened with quality. If I can find a Betamax Deck can I play a Betacam SP tape on it? That way I can just transfer it to my Mini DV and get it on the computer from there.

Unfortunately not.

Consumer betamax decks won't play betacam sp.

However, getting a conversion done (onto a mini dv tape) shouldn't cost the earth.
