Good luck and if you make a breakthrough please let me know.

I am currently using the capture unit as an interface for a wireless security camera saving closed circuit tv stuff to my laptop. It doesn't need to record sound for that.

I am close to buying a VCR/DVD writer unit to convert my VHS tapes over to DVD.

Good luck

Starngely enough, I'm thinking of doing the same thing. But having already spent good money on buying the Grabbee and then upgrading Amcap to the latest version in the hope it would solve the problem I'm loath to do so.

Just a quick update. The author got back to me to say that I should check that I have the latest versions of the driver and codec I replied that I do have the latest versions. No response so far...

In the meantime, I've come across a capture software that does the trick - AVS Video Capture. It's available from http://www.avs4you.com/video.aspx and it's free! It comes as part of a full suite, which you need to pay for.

Hope this helps.

PS, I'll keep you updated if I get any response on AMCap.

Hi
It works !!
So I know its software, trouble is there is a big sotice on the recorded material saying its non activated,

Do I need to pay to get rid of it?

The other thing is that I have burnt the material onto DVD and it plays ok on the pc but not on a DVD player, I guess I need to spend a little more time on it.

But I am pleased that the problem was software related and not H/W/

Many thanks for your help

Muck
