Default Help with my handy came please.

Right can someone give me a step by step guide of how to get the footage from my handy cam onto my pc and then into Movie maker so I can make a video please?

I've tried so many ways and just can't, and the instructions are no help.

Cheers,
Lewis.

What type of 'handy cam' do you have? Is it mini DV, mini DVD or hard disk drive? Have you got a USB cable or Firewire? I'd need some more details to give you specific advice.

It is the mini dvd version, the dvd 306E to be exact.

And I have the Usb cable that came with it to link it to the pc.

Thanks,
Lewis.

Either connect the camcorder to the computer using the USB cable and capture directly from the mini DVD disc onto your hard disk or finalise the disc in the camcorder first, then take it out and put it into the dvd player/burner drive in your computer. I don't think Windows Movie Maker will allow you to open mini DVD camcorder files, so you may need to get other software. Did you get any capture/editing software on disc when you purchased the camcorder?
