I have just got the camcorder out of it bag since christmas and found that it isn't working.
when i first switched on the screen was coloured stripes as if it was a bar code, then after i switched off then back on it was just black.
all the functions appear to be working including play back which appears to be perfect.
the model is an older one which has hardly been used
it is a GR-D31EK
could it be the ccd if yes can it be replaced at a reasonable cost or is it worth buying a new one

looking at jvc website this is a ccd problem if you have a message on screen that reads "lens cap" then there is a problem
contact jvc for a repair or look at website and read important imformation
