Does the Canon ally flight case HC3100 (advertised as used for the Canon XL-1 and XL-1S) take the Canon XL-2?
From what I can see, all the cameras have the same dimensions.
Advice/pointers most welcome.

My own personal experience is to look at Peli cases for your camera and forget the camera branded hard cases. You'll get twice the product at half the price.
This is what I found when I was looking for a case for my Sony FX1.
A bit OT but this is one of my 'good vendor' stories. I called to enquire about a Sony branded case I saw and was talked into buying a better product at about half the price. For me that makes them a good vendor who is actually interested in their customers.
Thanks for that Alan.
Care to give your "good vendor" a name and number check?
۞ > Creative Video > From DV to HD > Broadcast audio & video specialists > CVP
and check out Peli Protector cases offer total protection in virtually any situation they are airtight, watertight and crushproof. for details on the cases themselves.
One thing to note though is that with these cases the foam comes as a seperate product although CreativeVideo tended to do 'bundles' with foam included.
The good news is that if you weight under about 50Kg then you can use them as a life-raft as well.![]()
