Default load test

i did a load test trying to use dr divx on a large almost 2gig mpeg. highest 12v was 12.352 then went to 12.288 and danced back and forth from there. i am begining to believe it is the psp cause this time i had to turn off the switch on the psp and turn it back on to make the computer turn back on. would not just turn back on after it shut down. i hope maybe this will enlighten some more possibilities. thank you for all your help.

yeah it sounds like Power supply problems. I'm not completely sure though. Do as said and run Prime95 (is that what you were running)? I doubt it's memory timings because if it was memory trouble then you'd probably be getting BSOD's, not shutdowns.

edit: for further advice, post your problem at www.overclocking.com

There are a whole lot of very knowledgable ppl there (I'm 'thejoe526' there and I have upward of 2500 posts  )

Default i am going with its a PSP problem too

i am going with the thought of it being a psp problem. i was using asusprobe for my testing. i will check out overclockers and see what is on there. i have called the manufacturer and left a message to get a call back. i dont know what they will do. i do not want to send the case back cause i dont want to have to take all the crap out of the case. i am trying to just get them to send me a new psp and i will send them the old on back or something. i am going to try and find prime95 to do that test. having trouble finding it though. if anyone can help i would appreciate it. will keep you updated and please any ideas as to my problem are still welcome. thank you alot everyone.

Default playing game and comp shut off

computer shut down last night while i was playing need for speed underground. had played fine for a half hr or so and then it just shut off. if it is the psp and i have to buy a new one i was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. on overclockers.com some people were saying antec or enermax. enermax i know is nice but they are expensive. antec one was like 74 bucks for a 350 or 400. i know i should prob get a 400 atleast if i am ever gonna upgrade to a new processor. thanks for your help and anymore help is appreciated.
