You might try installing the latest drivers for the card. I would be suprised if it was an incompatability issue.

Maybe there are some old drivers of your previous card left behind.
If your system keeps restarting before you can even install new drivers, start Windows XP in safe mode. Windows XP will use it's own vga driver and you can remove the old drivers and install new drivers now.

Good luck!

What RAM do you have installed, I ask because not all RAM is compatible with this card, also does the 5200 have a separate power connector? as it may be a case of your power supply not being up to the task. To me it sounds like 1. Your RAM or 2. your BIOS is screwed or 3. not enough power on your 12v rail.

I recommend that you go back to your old video card and RMA this new one. There is clearly a fundamental issue with the card that certainly isn't driver related if the system doesn't even post.

What happens to the system with the old card installed? if it works then take Marks advice and RMA the card.
