Default Help with Panasonic NV-GS120GN

Hi,

I purchased this camera a while ago without being fully aware of the lack of convenience it has.

I am trying to get video footage from it and am finding it very difficult.

From what I can gather my laptop (compaq nx6120) has firewire/IEEE 1394, they are the same arent they?

anyways, i have this cable which has one end which will fit in the camera in the "dv" hole but then the other end fits no where in the laptop.

I am hoping that its just a matter of a different cable?? with the same connection on each end??

This is frustrating me greatly as I hate having no idea what im doing.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Firewire cables are 4-4 pin and 4-6. Don't even think about USB.

You need a 4pin to 4pin (described as 4-4 pin by Mihai) firewire cable.
