I can't find any programs that will let me split an rmvb vbr file. Many that are said to be able to split rm/rmvb dvd files are just not working.

I've also tried converting the rmvb vbr file to avi or mpeg but it won't let me convert that type of file for some reason even though it says it converts rmvbs.

Help?

What make of camcorder did you use to record those files? Are you sure you have the name correct as I've never heard of those before. I know DVD files can be very awkward to work with and convert from one format to another, but if you could clear up the file names first that would be a good starting point.

These files have always been a pig to do anything with and it seems to get worse with every release, even the Helix stuff doesn't offer much in the way of editing, they have been developed as final output files so most software only converts to RM.

None that I am aware of. These are proprietry Real Media files so it is unlikely a camcorder manufacturer would adopt them in their product.

I could be proved wrong, strange things happen.

PS I remembered a program that I used to use some years back for converting RM files.
