free video convertor

i am looking for any free video convertor that allows you to set the fps of the output file.

this is because i am using pinnacle studio 9 and it doesnt allow you to mix file formats as some of you may know. does anyone know if pinnacle 10 lets you mix formats ?

i've used a couple of decent convertors but both ran out after a short trial period.

if anyone knows of any good free convertors with or without trial periods or anyway around my problem in pinnacle, any help would be appreciated.

What is your reason for adjusting the FPS?

just as in pinnacle the fps has to be the same as the first video added to the project, as that sets the fps for the whole thing.

for example- now im trying to add a 25fps .mov, i need to change it to a 30fps .avi as the first video i added was this.

Virtualdub will do what you seek for free, but it's lot wash and go, more like a twin tub. Worth persevering with as it is a hugely capable freebie. I even sent the guy a tenner !
