DVD To MPEG4 with H.264 codec

Hi people,

Im trying to help a friend of mine who wants to convert his DVD show to MPEG4 using H.264 codec.

Now i have no experince in video editing software but i have done some dvd ripping before which it takes ages to do.

I have a windows based machine no access to MAC

Is this possible? any tips / links / advise would be appreciated

are trying to convert it for Ipod use? ImTOO DVD to iPod Suite can do the conversion nero7 ultra can do this as well, and I believe roxio has a program to do this. Most higher end programs like Sony Vegas can do it also but its a little more involved. If you have no knowledge of NLE's then I would go with the first option. I'm not sure if virtualdub can do it ( its free). Hope this helps, good luck.
