Canon m20i Firewire Capture Problem

Hi, Canon mv20i worked fine with studio 10 in XP before SP2, but since SP2 XP I can control the camera from studio but all I get is a pixelated frozen frame, cable is checked and working with other devices. Downloaded XP patch, 10.5.2 patch and new ATI graphic card driver. Tested with AMCAP problem exhibits on both Compaq Presario and Compaq notebook, same prob so looks like XP does not like the input. Can anyone help??
