Default iMovie help

I'm using iMovie HD on OS X, and i'm having some trouble, hopefully you guys can help me.

I have 2 video clips, and I'm trying to show both at the same time, so that each clip takes up half the screen. If iMovie can't do this, can anyone point me toward a program that can?

Thanks
