Question How2 4-way split screen?

I'm working on a series of musician tutorial videos. I want to show multiple angles at once, using a four-quarter split-screen. I have the four cameras for simultaneous shooting. What software do I need for this?

If you have captured the video from all four cameras to your PC, just about any multi track capable video editor with masking capability will do this. I'm not up to writing a tutorial about the details. And since I only use Magix Movie Edit Pro, anything I'd write would be just for that anyway.

Default 4-way split screen

Most NLEs allow multiple video tracks, and this is all you need. Resize each track so that it occupies the segment of the screen you want.

Syncing up the sound shouldn’t be a problem if you had all four cams recording at once; you could simply line up the audio tracks on the timeline. Use only one audio track once you’ve synced them.

Premiere Pro2 has a multi-cam function. But the method above will work fine with earlier versions. Unless anyone knows otherwise, Premiere Elements provides for this too – and you can download a trial version of this.
