Hi, Greetings my friends. I am new to your forum so I hope I am doing everything correctly.
I am using Premiere pro 1.5 with main concept pro plugin. According to Mainconcept I imported the DAT file directly in work area. But to my surprise I found two black strips at two sides of evry frame. The VCD was encoded as PAL 4:3 and I imported it accordingly. The black strips were not in the in the original, and it stays after rendering either with adobe media encoder or main concept encoder.

Check your frame size... if it was not correct you will get the same problem..

Do you mean aspect ratio by frame size?
Well, the original file was encoded in PAL 4:3 and that is the same setting I used while importing. So, what to do next?

Pal VCD is 352x288 pixels in frame size, check the mainconcept template for frame size also that pixel ratio(shape), is the same as your footage.
