Default Movie Maker screen ratio problem

Hi, Im sorry that my first post has to be begging for help but I'm only just shooting my first movies and really starting to bang my head against a brick wall. Really hope somebody can help.

I am sucessfully converting .VOB and .INF files to other formats eg .WMV but I then get problems in Windows Movie Maker when I go to add credits etc. Once Movie Maker has finished with the video it is in a different screen ratio. Very thin in comparisson tot eh original which is perfect.

I can post more details if they are needed but I have used Movie Maker before on other videos and managed to export them with no problems. Thanks again if you are able to help, you can see an 800k screen test which displays the problem but I won't post the link yet because I am not sure how bad the reaction will be (spam)

Hi
When rendering, make sure you select PAL 4:3 as an output ratio instead of widescreen (16:9)

That was unsuccessful I'm affraid. I have tried all combinations of PAL/NTSC/screen ratios and recording in different ratios too. I'm totally stuck for an idea. Thanks again.
