I've recently tried to edit a .avi file in the program FadeToBlack, cropping out clips I liked and then putting them all together as one .avi file. Unfortunately, each time I saved the file and listened to it, I noticed that the audio is always slightly (but significantly) out of sync with the visuals. Is there anything I can do to reverse/change this, or is it an unfortunate result of video editting?

This shouldn't happen. It typcially does happen when you try and change the frame rate of your video.
