Default Boot drive or video drive

Hello, can somebody tell me which of the drives is best to run editing software on? Should I install it on to the video drive for better performance or keep it on the boot drive?

Always put the programs on the boot drive or main drive of computer. This should also be the drive with the OS on it. This will let the video file drive concentrate on working with the video files.
