Ulead burning issues!!!!

HI All

I am having issues with Ulead Movie Factory 4.
Everytime I go to burn a DVD it fails during the burn process and I get the following messages:

The target device might have some problems. Please try again of reboot.

and

Power Calibration failed
Error (0X80041459) DVD+R
SPTI 2a 02 03 73 03

Yesterday this came up, so I downloaded the latest patch from their site.
The DVD then burnt fine.
Today I am getting the same issue but cannot burn.

I am going crazy here! Please help!
