Default Exporting HD video from Final Cut 5 to quicktime

Any advice on shooting with Sony HD Z1U and editing in Final Cut 5? The video looks fine while in Final cut, but all camera and subject movements become pixelated and delayed when exported to quicktime. What are the best setting to use for import/export? Camera settings?
