Default DVCam tapes do not exist?!!

HI Gang,

I really need your help. I own a Sony PDX10. Great. But where on earth can I get the DVCam tapes to go in it? I have trawled the net and can only find 40minute long tapes. I need at least 60minutes or more per tape. I went to my local Jessops who said "Google it". I told them I already googled it and didn't get anything. Ebay too is useless.

So can anyone out there be kind enough to tell me where I can get PDVM tapes for my camera. I need the small size not the "Large" tapes.

Please help!

Thanks

Benjibum

Default Relax Ben

Have managed to find some answers myself.

However I would still love to hear from those who know the best place to get DV and DVCam tapes.

Cheers

Standard small format DVCAM tapes only come in 35/38/40 mins.
60 Min tapes are v hard to come by: you can try PEC: http://www.pec.co.uk/

Default Would you like Chips with that?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for you useful links.

Can anyone tell me something about Chips? Do I need tapes with the chip or not? What do they do?

Thanks

Ben
