Not strictly Video Editing etc, but I was trying to play one of my videos through media player on a tv without authoring to a dvd and was very confused when the tv picture appeared but nothing within the windows media player screen itself actually came up? Is this due to copyright dvd issues or is it some setting I'm missing!?

Maybe you should start by telling us how you have things connected?

What graphics card you have? what connections it has? whcih ones are being used for what? What settings you set? etc etc

The video overlay can normally only be show on one screen, that being the primary display. Switch the TV to the primary display to see if tha chnages things.
