Default File Conversion With Quicktime (Mac)

Ok so here's the problem. I'm converting an iMovie project to AVI but I wasn't paying attention to how much room was left on the HD and ran out of space. It ended the conversion and everything but there is no file in the folder I was saving it to and 5 gigs of my HD is missing. How do I go about recovering this missing memory?

Memory? You mean hard drive space, right?

Run Scandisk. It will recover lost hard drive space.
