Default Which home editor would you reccommend ?

I want to be able to splice two video clips together. I have played around with some earlier editing programs but either they couldn't do that or I couldn't figure out how to do it. I would like something that is easy to learn and simple to use. I have read some reviews of Adobe Premier Elements and Pinnacle Studio, but they don't go into that great a detail. I have been able in the past to work with one file and splice out sections but couldn't work with two separate files to join them.

Thanks

Alex

I should have specified, "home use". I'm thinking of programs for $100 or less.

Vegas 6 is what I use. You can download a free trial on the Sony website.

My vote goes to Pinnacle Studio.

You can splice clips together in Windows Movie Maker in the Timeline view. I would recommend Adobe Premiere Elements 2 or whatever version is out now. Multiple tracks, visual effects, audio effects and burning out to DVD.

My thanks to all who replied. After reading some reviews, I purchased Uleads Video Studio 9.
