Default help with mov to .avi conversion!!!

Hi all,
My new xmas gift is a Kodak DX7590 5 megapixel camera which is bloody awesome....ah except for the fact
that it records movies in .mov. Now, I have used WMM2 for the past 3 years to do all my editing, and of course this file format will not import. I have read about some apps that will convert. I have tried one that did sucessfully convert to .avi, AND it played in media player (where before it would not), problem is it still would not import to WMM2.
Can anyone help, I love making movies but could this be the end!!
cheers
Steve

You could probably use the original application you refered to in your first post. Install the Panasonic DV codec, then this should become a codec available for export as an AVI.
