Default quicktime file .dv ???

ok - ive captured some footage off vhs on imovie on the mac, then copyied the file as a quicktime file so i can edit it on premire pro on my pc. - when i try loading it on my pc the file has the quicktime logo on it but it says it is a 'dv' file. when i try loading it quicktime wont play it and premire tells me that the file type is not supported... i looked on the net and cant find anything that plays 'dv' files... do i need to download a plugin for quicktime or something... help!!!

It'll be a quicktime file with a DV codec used to encode. You should have the Microsoft DV codec on your system, but you can easily download the Panasonic one.

Worst comes to the worst, you can convert it with Quicktime.

Quicktime Pro ($29.95) unless someone can come up with a cheaper or free method.
