Default How to correct a movie made with back light on by mistake

I forgot the back light button on by mistake on my TRV80E video camera.
Result is that the movie is mostly white, or too much exposure.
Is there anyway or program which I could use to correct this?
Please assist. I have Pinnacle Quick Start only.

Is your subject really ‘burned out’? If the image is so bright, and there’s lots of detail missing, there’s no real solution. You cannot replace detail that just isn’t there.

I'd have to agree. In any kind of digital imaging it's much harder to correct an over exposed picture than an under exposed one. You can extract details from the blacks much easier than you can from the whites.

By all means apply some adjustment filters i.e. brightness, contrast, levels etc and have a play. You will probably get it 'better' than it is but I suspect you will not get the level of satisfaction you are hoping for.

My suggestion. If the 'event' is repeatable then reshoot it. Sorry.
