Default Video capturing software - UN-MUXED?

Hi all,

I've got a problem thats really doing my head in now!

can anyone recommend any video capturing software, that then saves the files/mpegs as un-muxed files? Pref freeware.

I eventually want to edit use the movie files on my mac and edit them in imovie - but it doesn't support muxed files.

Thanks all.

Don't have much time, but can point you in the right direction by saying the correct term is "demux".
