Default ''How Do I'' capture real-time game-play ???

I have always wanted to use the graphic from the original Quake1 Engine to create a video to one of my songs...

I have a huge selection of dem files (demo files recorded in quake) that have been re-scripted to play-back my recorded demo's in quake, with my pre-determined camera-angles allready specified...

The difficulty i have is i do not know how to record the graphical output of the engine in real-time, and especially at hi-res and fps.

Once i have it recorded into AVI format, i can then add the final finnishing touches to the overall video to match the song tailored for this project...

If anybody has any hard-ware or software suggestions to achieve this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

Well if you can't hit "Print Screen" 25 times a second, then you should try a screen capture application, such as Camtasia Studio (shareware, if I recall), found here: http://www.techsmith.com/download/studiodefault.asp . Good luck!

THNX ALL

Well i think marc from the admin team has solved the next part of my puzzle here with something from www.fraps.com ... And to be honest, i dont think this software was even around when i first thought of this venture.

As i only just bumped into www.videoforums.co.uk last night, and allready the next step in my 5-6-7 year venture has been taken, consider this site now permenantly linked on my web-site at www.smstudios.net

If any of you are sad old Quake 1 freaks like me, you might wanna read my out-dated, way back when, blogg at... http://www.smstudios.net/framesetup/quakeep.html

Now, the next step is to get quake1 to run on XP platform in openGL mode which i know can be done, but its a bugger to do...

I will kepp u all posted as to how this venture progress's, although i wouldnt hold your breath!!! ;)

Again thnx a lot admin...
