Default problem on recording back to dv camcorder

I want to save some DV footage back to the camcorder for recording onton vhs. This has worked fine previously but now getting glitches.
Playback on PC after rendering looks OK but when recording onto the camcorder, voice/soundtrack sticks then jumps. I've tried shutting down all uneccassy applications in background on PC/defragmenting hard drive etc.
Got 80gb hard drive with a decent processor - like I say, it's never happend before. Footage is only 6 mins of AVI. Please help - now demented.

I've got a powerful system and suffe the same probs - What I believe it to be is that the signal going back to the camera is not strong eneough. Tjis is down to the capture card. No fix to it that i know.

Only way round it is backup on Data dvd's or encode for dvd.
