Default Deinterlace/Progressive

Hi

Im looking for some sort of software (free would be good) that can deinterlace avi files. Pinnalce liquid does this but the result is abit jumpy for my liking. Is there anything that can convert to a "smooth" deinterlace and then save back to avi?

Thanks

Yep - good old reliable freeware virtualdub.

www.virtualdub.org

it's a bit fiddly, but the thing you want is under the "filters" section.
