0 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | Pinnacle Studio 9 : Shaking Video
Hey, Half was through recording on holiday i changed a setting although i don't know what it was. If you need it i can try and find out but it was a year ago.
I use pinnacle studio 9 and the video shakes really bad although it looks fine on the pc, any ideas??
I cannot put it all back on and one of the tapes before settigns were changed works fine.
I'd be grateful if anyone can help |

Could you clarify your problem? From what I understand of your post, the video is "normal" on your PC... hence you have no problem.

So it looks fine on your camcorder, then after transfering to your PC it again looks fine, then when burnt to DVD it appears shaky?
Could you answer these questions for me?
1) What is the make and model of your camera
2) How did you transfer the footage to your PC (connections and settings)
3) What options did you chose when making the DVD disc (please list as much here as possible)
4) Did you play the DVD in a standalone player or PC?
5) What brand and speed media did you use?

I'll give it a bash,
1.Canon MV600
2.Transferred Via Firewire with either Pinnacle or Ulead Video Studio 7
I did it with DVD quality
3.I made seperate videos with pinnacle and turned them into MPEG format which was suitable DVD quality and chose best Quality on Disk. Burned it to DVD and The second tape works fine.
4.It's a standalone DVD player, and i've tried a few different ones and the same problem still exists.
5.?I use the sony tapes if thats what you mean, im abit of a newb. There 60 Minutes long each and it's DV?

Hey, I now know that the change i made was from changing the audio mode from 12bit to 16bit during the tape, does this explain it shaking??. I would be happy if you can tell me how i can fix this.
Cheers All

This would not affect the video. Can you describe this "shaking" in more detail as I'm at a loss as to what you're experiencing.

I suppose it's like a flicker, it works fine when i put it on my PC but it's the DVD players. I would record it off my tv but i don't know how unless you can put up with the big blue line?.
Would adding a smooth motion effect do anything or not?, i had no problem with the second tape it's just since i changed the settings. The tapes were off a sony camcorder which are the same tapes i used and i put them into mine to upload, any ideas?

Hey, I've fixed it now. Just went back and encoded each file to MPEG 2. Don't know what they were before.
Thanks for all the Help
